After spending some time trying to decide what to do with a giant roll of paper I had that was defective, I spent a few days and evenings in studio with Alison Martin creating something simple but striking without the use of colour but rather texture. The dramatic lighting on the ‘dress’ was used to transform something so plain and flat into a something that pops with shadows and highlights pronouncing the hours of finger crunching and body rolling.
We contacted the gorgeous Kirsty Morrison who had helped out on other diy projects before and luckily she was more than happy to help out. I wanted a nude/semi nude just because it was already big and ballzy and it needed a feminine/art/beauty aspect to it.
I hope you enjoy it as much as I do.
